My son has Type 1 Juvenille Diabetes and now has markers for Coeliac Disease, I am wanting to find out how a 12 year old boy can deal with both issues, food and diet changes again!
I read this in a book about diabetes. Some researchers thought the cause of Type 1 was a cold virus that mutated and attacked the pancreas. They also thought there was a link to serious illness around 10/11 years old. At the time of the book’s publication none of this was proven. I know that there is for sure when it comes to type 2 diabetes because if a person’s weight is kept in check, he/she will have a better chance of not developing diabetes. But what about type 1 diabetes?
