My sister was just diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and shes only 9 years old. Ofcourse we all are upset, and now shes going to have to be taking 4 shots a day.
Is there anyone else out there that can tell me how their life is now with this condition? I mean is it something that I must worry about day to day about my sister, Im just really confused at the moment on whats going to happen in the near future.
Thank you.
Two months or so ago, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. A few days ago (and a little bit for a few weeks), I started getting this awful weakness in my legs and arms. Sometimes it feels like they’re heavy, like I’ll flip. Or they’re too light and I’ll flip over. It feels like I’m going to fall down. I know this is something that can come out of diabetes… but this is really soon! Is it even related? Should I call my doctor/educators? How do they treat this?
Thanks!
Will I have to go to the hospital if I am diagnosed with type 1 diabetes? If so, what will i do there? Will they just teach me how to control my diabetes? Will they just monitor me? Will they do anything that hurts to me besides insulin injections, and checking my blood sugar?
