So deserved both due to outstanding career numbers and the wonderful love he has for the game of baseball. He persevered with Diabetes at a time when much less was known of the disease than today. He continues to be a role model for players and fans alike.
2008 IS THE YEAR
His numbers say it all, he deserves to be there. Sadly the HOF is a part of the “old boys” network and is too mired in unwritten rules to elect the deserving Ron Santo.
Long long overdue.
Ron Santo deserves to be in the Hall not only because of his numbers (come on now, Bill Mazeroski? Ozzie Smith who could field but couldn’t hit his way out of a wet paper bag!), but also because of the contributions he has made as an ambasador of the game. He truly loves the game and it’s fans, always has time for an autograph or to answer questions. His demeanor is a far cry from the arrogance and rudeness of todays players!
God bless you, Ron!
This ones for you Ronny… I don’t think any other player deserves it more than this man… I’ll be there for it
I am not so much a baseball fan as I am a Ron Santo fan. He has overcome so many things in his life..and not to say one of the greatest in baseball. Shame on those who did not have the intelligence to vote him in. Those are the people who have lost sight of what baseball and America really means.
Santo’s numbers speak for themselves, vote him in already! The current voting requirements are out of wack, he’s held the majority for so long!!!
Good players that are even better people need to represent baseball in the hall of fame!
santo should be in the hall of fame. his career numbers and the great person that he is and for the love of the game that he has.
Put Ron Santo in the Baseball Hall of Fame
We love you Ronnie!
I grew up in Appleton, WI in the 1960’s. The TV, newspapers and radio informed us of all the games and all the stars. Ron Santo was the Cubs; Ron Santo was the premiere 3rd baseman. Ron Santo won games with his bat and with his glove. He played the game hard and fair and he was someone all baseball fans looked up to. We all wanted him on our team or, if that was not possible, then we were Cubs fans. The HOF needs Ron Santo and Ron deserves no less.
I watched Ron play. He put his all into every game. What a great guy on and off the field. They all should be like you Ron. You deserve it!

On fielding statistics alone, before even considering his work with the bat.
Suck it. текст песни алсу весна No control over and there. Norma.
Best 3rd basemen to ever put on a Cubs Uniform!
Feeling the scent of spain and her beautiful breasts andreached down herflat stomach ann hathaway nude to turn.

put him in already!
I have written to the Fox.Sports.Com and The veterans Committee site at Cooprtown Hall of Fame.I’m appauled that this man is not in the H.O.F. asfter all he has gone through during and after his Great career.Baseball has to finally get something right and soon because next up is the steroid bums.I hope and Pray Mr. santo gets his Plaque on the wall at the hall.
Ron Santo Must, MUST be in the Hall of Fame. He played the game with pure passion. He handled himself and represented his teams with total dignity. His numbers certainly are Hall of Fame numbers and he did that without drugs!
Should have been inducted years ago
Should have be inducted years ago.
Can’t imagine why it hasn’t happened before now
Not fair need to be there
Its a travesty that Santo is not in the Hall. There are many other players after him that have been voted in, but Ron is much more deserving. He is a great person, that alone could carry him. HOF voting committee- get yer head out of yer dark spot.
There has never been a better ambassador for the game of baseball and probably never will be. The Hall of Fame should be ashamed of itself. You know he will eventually get in. Be responsible and do it while he is still alive to enjoy it and while all of us fans are able to enjoy it with him. I would rather see Ronnie enshrined than win a World Series. He is more deserving.
Veterans’ Committee, step up to the plate and do the right thing.
He’s got better numbers than some players already in the HOF. Just look at the numbers.
Yeah Rob Santos
Ronnie is The Chicago Cubs !!!! Bronze Ron!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please BRONZE him Go Ronnie
Ron Santo has been the heart and soul of the Chicago Cubs for a long time. His record stands for itself showing he should be in the Hall of Fame.
you laugh, but I actually legally changed my name to honor this hero of baseball because his prideful nature, crappy comentary, and so-so play have been the perfect combination to endear him to enough Chicago fans that pretty much everyone’s been jumping on the Ron Santo bandwagon love fest for years.
Enough’s enough. DO THE RIGHT THING!
Enough is enough. This man is a legend.
Enough is enough, Ron Santo is, and will always be a legand to the people of chicago and every other city in america. He had great numbers in his career. He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame and everybody knows it.
Go Ron!
Go Ron!
There is absolutely no good reason why the Veterans Committee has denied Ron Santo entrance into the Hall of Fame. Look at his stats, gentlemen. I agree with the people who signed this petition before me. Do the right thing, and vote Ron Santo into the Hall of Fame.
LET HIM IN!
It’s a travesty that one of the best 3rd basemen in MLB has been kept out of the Hall.Let alone his ability to play the game and his statistics, he had a love and passion for his trade and defied the odds, all the while playing the game with diabetes. Come on, Ronnie for the HOF!!
We’re all pulling for you Ron!
Deserves it!
It’s a joke that he is not in the Hall of Fame. The veterans committee is a joke. They don’t vote anyone in. Santo needs to be in.
A great injustice if he is not inducted. My sons played some little league with his boys and he was such a gentleman to all of us. Always willing to sign autographs and give the boys hints to help them play better.
Get Ron Santo into the Hall of Fame! If anyone deserves it he does. He gives 110% everyday as an announcer and did when he was a player!
Ron Santo to the Hall of Fame!
There is no debate among his supporters that Ron Santo’s numbers are more than good enough for entrance into the Hall; obviously there is not a consensus among the Living Hall Members that vote for HOF candidates. If I could make one comment to the Living Hall Members, assuming that they would take the time to read through the comments of 1,650 petitioners, I would ask them to remember that all of his accomplishments were done despite his affliction with Juvenile Diabetes. What he was able to do while suffering from this disease is amazing; a disease that eventually claimed both of his legs. Are there any other members of the Hall of Fame that played with Juvenile Diabetes or similar debilitating disease that was able to accomplish as much? Should Ron be in the Hall; if I was a member of the voting committee that is an easy decision!! Good luck next time Ron and GO CUBS!!!
RON DESERVES THIS MORE THAN EVER!!!
