Ron Santo, one of the greatest players in Chicago Cubs history and a longtime WGN radio announcer whose devotion to the perennial losers was made obvious night after night by his excited shouts or dejected laments, has died. He was 70.

This is a hilarious video from battingstanceguy.com. Santo gets a nod near the end of the clip. It’s worth watching the whole thing. His Shawon Dunston and Ryne Sandberg are unbelievable. The Sammy Sosa is pretty funny too.
Tom from NobodyProudctions.com shared a great video with me this morning. It’s worth a look and certainly worth some thought.
Tom asks the question “Is it right to put players from the steriods era in the Hall of Fame without putting people like Ron Santo in the Hall of Fame?”
Tom wants the MLB fans to join him in the asterisk party.
Please let Tom, the Hall of Fame and Major League Baseball know how you feel about this issue.

John Maxwell once said there is no better measure of man than how his sons remember him. Jeff Santo’s amazing documentary about his father is heart wrenching.
“He’s not pretty, he’s not flashy, he’s substance.”
