She and my uncle conceived within just 3 months of her stopping birth control, and that first pregnancy was kinda tough, due to her weight gain, and had a hard delivery (baby cousin was 9.5 lbs), but she did deliver vaginally. I know she had to test much more frequently while she was pregnant, and just be always watchful with food and insulin. It was much harder for her to control her blood sugar when she was pregnant. She never miscarried, but her second pregnancy nearly killed her, and she had her tubes tied after that, but both of those kids are fine, and she's a very well controlled diabetic still - my cousins are both in college now. My friend who has diabetes it toke her about 3 months to conceive and she did not have any micarriages before that.
