No, primarily because he is not on the ballot. His eligibility for the BBWAA ballot expired years ago. His next opportunity will be on the 2008 Veterans Committee ballot for former players.

Not this year he is not, you get 15 years with the writers once you become eglible for the Hall of Fame, and that ended in the late 80′s/ealry 90′s for Ron Santo, and now the only way that he can get in is the Veterans Committee, and I don’t think that it will look good for him to ever get into the hall of fame. They only vote every 2 years, and the next time they vote is 2009. And in thier prevouius elections, they have failed to elect anybody to the Hall of Fame. And it is to my understanding that they are supposed to help players like Ron Santo get into the Hall of Fame, and if that is the case, that is sure what they are not doing. And all different people, have thier own opinons on whether or not Ron Santo is deserving of his ticket to Cooperstown. If you would like to read more about this commiutte for yourself, I have a site for you to look at in the source box, so you can take a look there.
