Absolutely without a doubt, yes.

Really? The best thing Santo has going for him is “Well he got in!” one.
Santo – .277/.362/.464, .826 OPS, 342 HR, +27.3 defensive runs according to his baseball-reference page at 3rd base.
The BBWAA has been amazingly stingy on 3rd basemen, only 10 are in the Hall.
Santo is not as good as the ones in the Hall, but in other positions, there have been terrible picks (Tony Perez at 1B, Jim Rice and soon to be Andre Dawson in LF).
idk, the BBWAA is **** full of subjective nutties. I personally would’ve had Santo on my ballot, but he’s borderline even to me.

^^ (That’s my brother, don’t listen to what he says. jk)
Well as a Cubs fan, it’s been very apparent to me for a long time that Ron Santo deserved to be in the HOF. Ron really deserves it, but every year he never makes it in.

Definitely. He’s got 342 career home runs, nine all-star selections, and five gold glove award. His number 10 is flying on the left field foul pole at Wrigley Field. Not to mention he did all this with diabetes and he now he both of his legs amputated. One of the greatest Cubs ever.

Not only should be, but should have been years ago.
There are few cases of such true injustice across baseball history, where a most worthy candidate has been denied the Hall without cause. Santo headlines this very short list. Unfortunately.

In all honesty he deserves it…
He does have quite a few Gold Gloves.
