Ty Cobb was one of the most hated players of all time but he is there and deserves to be. Babe Ruth is there but spent most of his career in one kind of trouble or another. Miller Huggins must have shortened his life by ten years worrying if Babe would be sober enough to play or sitting in a drunk tank somewhere on any given day. His numbers shout Hall of Fame, though, and his personal life did not come into the decision. There are a great many people with far worse numbers than Ron Santo's that are already inducted in the Hall. The man was a nine time All Star, won five Gold Gloves, hit 342 homers and well over 1000 RBIs. All this while battling type one diabetes. If Ron Santo doesn't deserve to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, then the Hall of Fame is unworthy and I will not return for another visit nor sent another penny of my money their way until this massive injustice has been corrected.
